About the App

LocalVox is a fully offline text-to-speech app: listen to books, read along with live highlighting, snap a page to hear it read aloud, and create multi-voice voiceover works. All speech is generated on your device — your text never leaves your phone.

How do I subscribe or see the paywall?

怎么订阅 / 付费墙在哪里？

Open the app, go to Settings, and tap "Unlock Local Vox Pro". The paywall also appears automatically when a free limit is reached. Pro is available as a monthly or yearly subscription (with a free trial) or a one-time lifetime purchase.

打开 App 进入「设置」，点「解锁 Local Vox Pro」。当免费额度用尽时付费墙也会自动弹出。Pro 可按月/按年订阅（带免费试用），或一次买断终身版。

What is free?

• Reading aloud with system voices is unlimited and always free. / 用系统音色朗读不限时，永久免费。
• AI voices (including custom mixed voices) allow 30 minutes of listening per day. / AI 音色（含捏声）每天可听 30 分钟。
• 3 voiceover works are free, including multi-role voices, voice mixing, and m4a/wav export within those works. / 免费可创建 3 个配音作品，含多角色、捏声与 m4a/wav 导出。
• Importing books (TXT / EPUB / text-based PDF) and Snap & Read are free. / 导入书籍（TXT / EPUB / 文字版 PDF）与拍照朗读免费。

Playback stopped after 30 minutes — is that a bug?

播放 30 分钟后停了，是 bug 吗？

No — this is the intended daily listening limit for AI voices on the free plan. It resets the next day, and playback resumes from where it stopped once unlocked. System voices are never limited.

不是——这是免费档 AI 音色的每日聆听上限，属有意设计。次日自动重置；解锁 Pro 后从停止处继续。系统音色永远不受限制。

How do I restore a purchase?

怎么恢复购买？

Open the paywall (Settings → "Unlock Local Vox Pro") and tap "Restore Purchases" at the bottom. Purchases are tied to your Apple ID.

打开付费墙（设置 →「解锁 Local Vox Pro」），点底部的「恢复购买」。购买记录绑定在你的 Apple ID 上。

Does the app need an internet connection?

App 需要联网吗？

No. All voice models are built into the app and everything runs on your device. The only network use is App Store purchases themselves.

Which formats are supported?

Import: TXT, EPUB, and text-based PDF. Export: m4a and wav audio files, watermark-free.
