1. Introduction

LocalVox ("the App") is an on-device text-to-speech studio and read-along reader. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and why. The App does not collect, upload, or share any personal information. All processing — text import, speech synthesis, optical character recognition, and audio rendering — happens entirely on your device.

2. Information We Collect

We collect no personal information and no user data. The App has no account system, no sign-in, and no analytics. Nothing you do inside the App is transmitted to us or to any server operated by us.

The App does not connect to the internet at all. All voice models are built into the App itself; there are no downloads, no servers, and no network requests of any kind.

3. Book and Document Content

Text you import or create (TXT, EPUB, PDF files, pasted or typed text) is stored locally on your device and used only to produce speech and reading views on your device. Your book content, project settings, and generated audio are never uploaded to us or to any third party, and we never receive copies of them.

4. Camera Use (Scan & Read)

The App requests camera access solely so you can capture pages of printed material to have them read aloud. Page recognition runs on your device using Apple's Vision framework. Captured page images and their recognized text are stored only on your device as local drafts and are automatically deleted after 24 hours. Camera images are never transmitted anywhere.

5. Data Storage

All App-generated data — imported books, projects, generated audio files, settings, and cached speech results — lives only on your device (in the App's own storage areas). Uninstalling the App removes all of it. We have no access to this data and cannot recover it.

6. Third-Party Services

The App integrates no advertising SDKs, no analytics, no crash-reporting services, and no tracking frameworks of any kind.

7. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since no information is collected from any user at all, this applies equally to all users.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
