How do I view an instrument in AR?

Open an instrument, then tap the AR button. Point your device at the floor or a table, and place the instrument at life-size. AR requires a device with a camera and ARKit support.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. Instrument Explorer works completely offline. All models, sounds and text are built into the app.

Why can some instruments only be viewed as images?

Most instruments can be explored in interactive 3D and AR. A few are shown as high-quality images instead. Every instrument still has its own sound.

Is it suitable for children?

Yes. The app is designed to be calm and easy to explore, with no ads, no purchases and no sign-up. It is rated 4+.

Does the app collect any data?

No. The app collects no data of any kind. See the Privacy Policy below.

Instrument Explorer is designed to respect your privacy completely.

No data collection. The app does not collect, store or transmit any personal information or usage data.
No tracking. There are no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind.
No account. No sign-up or login is required.
Fully offline. The app does not connect to the internet. All content is bundled inside the app.
Camera. The camera is used only to display the Augmented Reality (AR) view on your device. Camera images are never recorded, saved or sent anywhere.
